Shelbyville Branch Book Clubs
The Shelbyville branch has two book clubs: The Book Club @ The Bookmark and The Book Club @ the Horizon Center. Both meet off the library campus.
The first meets from noon to 1 pm on the third Tuesday of each month at The Bookmark cafe where members may eat or drink while discussing the monthly book selection.
The Book Club @ The Horizon Center meets at Shelby Senior Services. The address is 2120 Intelliplex Drive, Suite 101, in the same building as the YMCA. It meets the second Tuesday of the month at 1 pm.
Morristown Branch Book Clubs
Velma Wortman Morristown Branch has three book clubs: Ken Jewell Literary Society for adults; Book Club After Dark for adults; and Cookbook Club for adults and teens.
The Literary Society reads National Book Award Winners each month, plus the Shelby County Reads selection.
Book Club After Dark hosts a grown-up evening reading and reviewing books with magic, romance, and more! This book club is for exploring BookTok sensations and other recs!
The Cookbook Club chooses a cookbook based on a theme each month. Members select a cookbook at the front desk, make a recipe, and bring it to the club’s meeting on the last Tuesday of each month, when dishes, recipes, and cookbooks are discussed and “relished.”
